A homestay is a cultural exchange between a student and a local individual or family. The “host” provides accommodation and support for an agreed-upon period of time and rate (rent),  and the students is considered a member of the family for the duration of their stay.

Homestays can be tailored to provide meals, assistance and other activities.

The University of Sydney has partnered with two NEAS accredited providers, Australian Homestay Network and Global Experience to connect University of Sydney Alumni as hosts to University of Sydney students. NEAS endorsement gives you the ultimate peace of mind, ensuring that accredited providers are measured against a set quality assurance network.  You can view further information on this framework by visiting this link.
