Applications for University accommodation are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand, accommodation is not guaranteed for first-year domestic or international students.

While we understand that securing accommodation is an important priority, it is not possible to prioritise individual applicants or provide personalised consideration once applications have been submitted.

Once submitted, applications are reviewed and progressed through different stages. This may include being invited to join the waitlist if accommodation has reached capacity. Please note that waitlist invitations are not immediate, and you may be contacted at a later stage if places become available.

If your application status shows “Application Received”, you may not yet have been invited to the waitlist. If you have already confirmed a waitlist offer but your status has not updated, please contact the Accommodation Operations team.

We recognise that securing accommodation can be challenging. While we are unable to make offers to all applicants, we work with reputable accommodation providers near the University to offer alternative options. These providers offer high-quality accommodation, along with Residential Life and wellbeing support.

You can find more information about these providers on our website.
