University-owned accommodation and Residential Colleges are both located on or near the main campus, but they offer different living experiences.
University-owned accommodation
University-owned accommodation offers a more independent living experience. These residences are self-catered and include a range of room types, such as:
- Large halls with communal kitchens
- Studio apartments
- Shared apartments
Students benefit from living close to campus, with access to social, sporting, and cultural activities, as well as academic and wellbeing support.
There are four University-managed residences on the main campus:
- Queen Mary Building
- Abercrombie Student Accommodation
- Darlington House
- Regiment Building
You can find more details, including room types and fees, on the accommodation website.
To apply, register and submit your application via the accommodation portal.
Residential Colleges
Residential Colleges provide a more structured and community-focused experience. They typically offer:
- Catered meals
- Laundry service
- A strong residential community and support network
- Additional academic support
Each College is independently managed and has its own application process.
You can find more information about the Colleges and how to apply on our website.
