The University of Sydney offers a free airport shuttle service to central Sydney locations for NEWLY COMMENCING international students. You will receive detailed information before semester starts as part of the enrollment process with the University of Sydney, including when this service will be available to you.

Book your seat:
You are required to book your seat AT LEAST 5 working days prior to departure. Please note, you will be asked to provide information about flight details, luggage and accommodation address. You are allowed 2 checked pieces of luggage and 1 piece of hand luggage. If you have additional luggage you may be required to pay $8 per additional item.
We do not provide free pick up for your family or friends travelling with you. They are welcome to book a seat on the shuttle service, with 10% University of Sydney discount. They need to book their shuttle service and pay electronically BEFORE you depart. Discount will be applied to your electronic payment, please keep the receipt as proof of payment.
If you have more than 3 people travelling with you, it may be cheaper for you all to take a taxi directly to your destination.
Where do I meet the shuttle bus:
Arriving at International airport: after you clear Customs and enter the Arrival Hall, you will see the Ready2Go vans outside the door. There is also a banner inside the Arrival Hall next to the International Student Welcome Desk where you can ask for directions. Please show confirmation document from Ready2Go (printed/ electronic) to the driver.
Arriving at Domestic airport (Terminal 2 or 3): please go outside and look for Ready2Go vans between Terminals 2 and 3. Please show confirmation document from Ready2Go (printed/ electronic) to the driver.
Will the shuttle bus wait for me if my flight is delayed:
Shuttle buses leave International airport every 30 minutes so you will be allocated a seat on the next service. The last shuttle services of the day are:
- international airport: 11:45pm
- domestic airport: 11:30pm
Please make your way to the Ready2Go desk. If it is not attended, call the 24 hours hotline: 1300 246 669 or take a train or taxi.
What if my accommodation is located outside the free city shuttle perimeter?
Yannadah, Nepean Lodge & Nepean Hall unfortunately are outside the free shuttle services location. You can choose to either:
- take a free shuttle to central location and arrange for further transport to your accommodation.
- take a taxi/ train from airport
