The big day is almost here, below is some important information you will need to know in preparation for your arrival.

How to get to Abercrombie Student Accommodation

Address

401 Abercrombie Street, Darlington, NSW 2008, Australia

Coming from the airport?

You can take a taxi or shuttle bus directly to ASA or the train to Central station where you will have to change lines and take the train to Redfern station, it’s a short 8 minute walk from there.

Mastering the public transport?

From Central station you can catch any of the buses numbered: 422, 423, 426, 428, L23, L28 or M30 from bus stand C at Railway Square. Get off on the corner of City Road and Butlin Avenue, it’s a short 5 minute walk from here.

Or are you driving a car?

You can park outside ASA entrance to unload your belongings, unfortunately there is no parking at ASA and Residents are not eligible for street parking permits so you will have to arrange your own parking if you have a car. Street parking is limited to one hour.

If you arrive after hours please call the Evening Duty Manager on 0466 560 583 for assistance.

What to bring

Save money by bringing supplies from home and for everything else you need, you can visit Broadway Shopping Centre – it’s just a 5-minute bus ride away.

All standard single studio apartments are furnished with a king single bed, mattress, mattress protector, desk and desk chair, however you will need to bring other items with you like:

• Bed Linen

• Pillows

• Quilt

• Coat Hangers

• Towels

For your convenience, (particularly for those who are getting straight off a plane), we have linen packs available for purchase before you arrive. To order these log into your Resident Portal (where you applied for your room), add it to your cart and pay for it before you arrive. You can do all of this online so it’s easy!

For cooking in your studio there is a convection oven/microwave, gas stove top and a refrigerator. You will need to provide your own cooking pans, pots, utensils, etc. You will need to bring for your own plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses. We have a kitchen pack available for purchase online with all the basic items to set up your kitchen.
