The student accommodation market in Sydney remains very tight with most purpose-built student accommodation facilities operating at full or very close to full capacity. This includes all University owned accommodation facilities which are full for 2023.

Currently the University is holding a limited number of beds at Scape, but you will need to apply soon to avoid missing out.

Scape:  All-inclusive packages are available on selected room types across convenient Sydney locations. Enjoy brilliant buildings, kitted out with great study areas, gyms, outdoor and courtyards.  Click on this link to apply.

You are welcome to apply for University Owned Accommodation (Regiment, Queen Mary or Abercrombie) however, you will be placed on a waitlist as all facilities are at capacity. Even with cancellations we do not expect that the current waiting list can be accommodated.

You are also welcome to visit our off campus database which has a limited number of private accommodation options in and around the Sydney area. You will need to use their University of Sydney Unikey to login to this database.

Other databases include: https://flatmates.com.au/; https://www.flatmatefinders.com.au/ which typically offer rooms in shared houses.

Off-campus accommodation is usually a private rental organised through a real estate agent or other housemates. It's important that you are aware of your tenancy rights, so please refer to this useful accommodation guide when organising a rental. More information on moving to Sydney and key contacts for support in Student Life can be found here. We are happy to receive referrals to our Peer support advisor team or SNOW form at the link above for students wanting to discuss Sydney accommodation options in more detail.
