You can cancel or terminate your contract early. This may fall under one of two scenarios.

Scenario 1: Terminate after accepting the Offer and Residential Agreement Terms & Conditions, but before the Commencement Date of the contract.

Residents may terminate their contract without penalty if they notify the University in writing 4 weeks prior to the Commencement Date (date on the Residential Agreement Terms & Conditions). The Acceptance Fee ($200 for new residents and $100 for returning residents) is not refundable.

Residents may also terminate their contract if they notify the the University in writing less than 4 weeks prior to the Commencement Date. The Acceptance Fee ($200 for new residents and $100 for returning residents) is not refundable. The University may also charge a Cancellation Fee of $200.

Scenario 2: Terminate after Commencement Date of the contract

Residents are liable to pay rent for the entire duration of their contract (Commencement Date to End Date). The resident may be released from the contract if a suitable replacement is found to occupy their room, however, they will still need to pay a Cancellation Fee of $200. 

If you are graduating and only require accommodation for one semester we will be able to release you of your respective 48 or 52 week contract. However, we will need you to email us documentation supporting your intended graduation, at least 4 weeks before the end of the semester. Supporting documentation would include any official document/form that would prove that your are no longer a current student, or will be a graduate, of the university. A $200 termination fee will be charged if you provide less than 4 weeks of notice
